BUTLER, Pa. — The manager of a Long John Silver’s restaurant in Pennsylvania was arrested after police said she added her boyfriend to the payroll and stole nearly $50,000. Her boyfriend was in prison.
“She could could hire and fire,” said Max Wittlinger with Butler Township police.
WPXI-TV′s Amy Marcinkiewicz found out the suspect, Michelle Krzewinski, was in charge of multiple restaurants. The checks reportedly went directly to her boyfriend, who never set foot inside the restaurants.
“Love makes you do crazy things,” Wittlinger said.
Police in Beaver County are investigating Krzewinski on similar charges. Officers said they were able to track down her boyfriend, who is out on parole in Philadelphia. He will be brought back to Butler County to face charges.
