STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — A Virginia man is accused of punching a glass door at a Popeyes restaurant while waiting for a chicken sandwich, authorities said.
Yordim Escolero Moreira, 38, of Stafford, was given a summons for destruction of property, the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
According to the sheriff’s office, Moreira was “upset over the wait time for the chicken sandwich,” on Sunday afternoon, WSET reported.
Employees tried to offer Moreira chicken tenders, but he “evidently was craving the chicken sandwich,” the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook.
Moreira then uttered an expletive and punched the glass of the restaurant door before leaving, causing significant damage to the entrance, WRIC reported.
Deputies later found Moreira in the vehicle and issued the summons, the television station reported.
