The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that having both sets of lights on at the same time could cause glare for oncoming traffic and could increase the risk of a crash, The Associated Press reported.

GM has recalled some 2021 Tahoes, Suburbans, GMC Yukons and Cadillac Escalades.

There have been no reports of crashes or injuries linked to the issue.

Owners will be notified by mail starting Dec. 19 and dealers will fix the issue by updating the software that controls the lights, the NHTSA said.

The NHTSA says the repair will be free for owners.

For more information, you can call GM customer service at 888-988-7267, Chevrolet customer service at 800-222-1020 or Cadillac customer service at 800-458-8006.

The NHTSA has designated it as 22V827000.
