WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont. — A tanker hauling gasoline rolled over early Friday, spilling approximately 4,800 gallons of fuel, authorities said.
According to a news release from the National Park Service, the driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle on U.S. 191, which runs through the western edge of the park near the Montana-Wyoming border.
No injuries were reported, KECI-TV reported.
Park officials said it was unclear whether any of the spilled gasoline entered Grayling Creek. The waterway flows from the Gallatin Mountains and drains into Hebgen Lake in Montana, according to The Associated Press.
Cleanup efforts on the highway resulted in one lane being closed Friday night, KECI reported.
