A portable barbecue pit is a great idea -- but not when it is lit and in the bed of a truck.
A Texas man is accused of driving while intoxicated after the pit caused a large fire, KTVT-TV reported.
According to a news release, Harris County constables arrested Jay Rojas, 39, on Wednesday. Rojas was also charged with possession of a controlled substance, the release stated.
Constables said Rojas displayed signs of intoxication after he was subjected to a field sobriety test. Constables added that Rojas was in possession of cocaine.
Rojas was booked into the Harris County Jail, Constable Mark Herman said in the news release. Herman said that bail and court information “have not been set at this time.”
