NEW ORLEANS — A UPS driver has delivered a special bond with some of the dogs along his route.
Jason “Jay” Hardesty, 32, has worked for UPS for 11 years and has shared hundreds of pictures of different dogs, and maybe a cat or two, that he meets along his route in New Orleans.
“Every time I see a dog, I definitely get more excited than I used to,” Hardesty told ABC News.
He started taking pictures with the pups about two years ago.
“I picked up a dog, just goofing around on a Friday,” he said. “I took a photo with him, posted it on my Instagram and he got me more likes than I’ve ever seen. So every Friday, I try to keep up with that.”
He has more than 90,000 followers and has become somewhat of a celebrity to those on his route.
“Owners are pretty cool when I ask to take a photo with their dogs,” Hardesty said. “Because they’re like, ‘You’re going to make my dog famous.’”
