Vice President Kamala Harris tests negative for COVID-19

Days after she tested positive for COVID-19, Vice President Kamala Harris has tested negative for the coronavirus.

Press Secretary for the vice president, Kristen Allen, said that Harris tested negative on a rapid antigen test and that she will return to work in person Tuesday.

Harris will continue to wear a mask for the entire 10-day period.

Harris was asymptomatic as she worked from home at her official residence at the Naval Observatory.

She had been prescribed Paxlovid, an antiviral coronavirus treatment, CNN reported.

The White House said that Harris was not in close contact with either President Joe Biden or first lady Jill Biden.
