CLEARWATER, Fla. — A Florida woman’s video of a rare albino dolphin is going viral.
According to WTVT and WTSP, the unusual sighting happened Thursday at Clearwater Basin Marina. Caitlin Mackey noticed an adult dolphin swimming with two calves – one of which was completely white, the outlets reported.
Mackey posted a clip of the moment on Facebook.
“Incredible footage of our local wildlife! Rare albino baby dolphin!” she captioned the video, which has been shared by news stations across the country.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, experts know of just three other times albino dolphins were spotted in the Gulf of Mexico.
