Woman launches into racist rant at Asian woman working out in California park

TORRANCE, Calif. — A woman was exercising in a California park when she was accosted by a woman who went on a racist tirade, yelling at her to " go back to whatever Asian country you belong in" Wednesday morning.

Police were investigating after the incident, which the young woman working out filmed, was reported to Torrance city officials, KABC reported.

"Conduct like that displayed on the video cannot be tolerated," Torrance Mayor Patrick Furey told KABC.

It’s unclear why it started. An older woman bumped into the woman who was working out on the steps at Charles H. Wilson Park, video shows. The older woman then starts screaming at the woman exercising.

“You (expletive). This is not your place, this is not your home,” the older woman said. “We do not want you here. Put that on Facebook. I hope you do. Because every (expletive) person will beat the crap out of you from here on out. Don’t you ever say, ‘oh Jesus’ to me when I want to use the stairs you little (expletive).”

Neither woman has been identified. A friend of the woman who filmed the video posted it to social media. The woman who filmed it told KTLA that she was scared to go back to the park.
