Winter forecasts have Georgia bracing for the cold

You should probably get your winter coat ready, Georgia. The NOAA has just released its predictions for the 2015-2016 winter, and El Nino is making its presence known.

The Southeast, with most of Georgia with it, is predicted to have a colder than usual winter. There will also be a higher than normal amount of precipitation according to models. "A strong El Niño is in place and should exert a strong influence over our weather this winter," said deputy director of NOAA's Climate Prediction Center Mike Halpert.
