ATLANTA — As we prepare to say goodbye to the Georgia Dome, some of Atlanta’s biggest names are reflecting on their favorite moments.
Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the demolition of the Georgia Dome is bittersweet.
“It’s going to happen in 12 seconds, but it’s a happy and sad moment,” Blank said earlier this week.
WSB-TV is partnering with the Georgia World Congress Center Authority for a LIVE broadcast of the Georgia Dome demolition. WATCH Channel 2 Action News This Morning starting at 4:30 a.m. for LIVE Team 2 Coverage.
Blank’s Falcons played several playoff games at the Georgia Dome and won the NFC Championship just last year.
"We won a lot of important football games there," Blank told The AJC.
