ATLANTA — Chipper Jones is officially headed to Cooperstown!
The Atlanta Braves' legendary third basemen was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame Wednesday night.
Chipper, who played his entire 19-year MLB career with the Braves, was elected in his first year of eligibility.

The Braves inducted Jones into the franchise Hall of Fame in 2013, while also retiring his No. 10 the same season.
He is first player to wear a Braves uniform to be elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame since John Smoltz in 2015.
Jones -- who received 97.2% of the vote -- fell just short of Ken Griffey Jr.’s voting record.
Griffey earned 99.32 percent of the vote in 2016. He missed just three votes, besting Tom Seaver only missing five in 1992.
Joining Jones in the Class of 2018 are Vladimir Guerrero, Jim Thome and Trevor Hoffman.
Notable players who didn't make the cut: Roger Clemens (57.3%), Barry Bonds (56.4%) and Manny Ramirez (22%).
