Georgia St. men’s basketball postpones games after COVID-19 outbreak

Georgia State Panthers are prepping for the men's basketball postseason. 

ATLANTA — The Georgia State men’s basketball team has postponed their games the next two days with Troy University after multiple positive COVID-19 tests in the program.

The school announced the delay Friday morning and said all team activities will be shut down for at minimum seven days in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Georgia State says the tests include all “Tier One” individuals. It includes student-athletes, coaches and administrative staff.

The Panthers are currently 7-2 on the season and are in a tie with the six other teams in the Sun Belt Eastern conference. All six teams have 1-1 conference records.

Georgia State has not announced if or when the two postponed games might be made up.
