ATLANTA — Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has announced a parade to celebrate Atlanta United's MLS Cup win for for 10 a.m. Monday.

The Five Stripes beat out the Portland Timbers 2 -0 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in front of a record-setting crowd. The team, staff and owner Arthur Blank will be in attendance along with Gov. Nathan Deal and other special guests.

Just before our 11 p.m. newscast, Channel 2's Rikki Klaus saw barricades already up along the parade route in downtown Atlanta.

Fans she spoke with say they can't wait to celebrate the big win.

“We got a championship, ATL. Last time was ’95. We got this! Let’s go ATL! Atlanta United, y’all are the best. Thank you for uniting us,” said Adams Lee.

It all kicks off at 10 a.m. at the corner of Baker Street and Peachtree Street (next to SunTrust Plaza). The open-top bus parade will travel down Baker Street, Marietta Street, and Andrew Young International Boulevard.

The parade route will end at The Home Depot Backyard at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. A celebration with the players and coaches, as well as Arthur and Angie Blank, will begin at noon.

"Congratulations, ATL UTD! You have united our city and conquered the MLS Cup," Bottoms wrote on Twitter. "We can't wait to celebrate with you."

Atlanta United defeated Portland 2-0 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium behind goals by Josef Martinez and Franco Escobar.

If you head down to the parade, pack a poncho or umbrella! There will be a chance of an isolated shower for the parade, according to Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan.
