On June 13, Albies exited the game in the fifth inning after he fell out of the batter’s box. The Braves confirmed that Albies fractured his left foot and put him on the 60-day injured list.
Albies is being activated after a productive week with the Stripers. On Tuesday night, he went 5-for-5, including a walk-off hit.
Channel 2′s Alison Mastrangelo caught up with Albies at a Lifeline Animal Shelter event on Thursday.
I caught up with #Braves All-Star @ozzie @lifelineanimal . He's covering costs for 112 dogs and cats that have stayed at the shelters for more than 100 days.

Of course I asked Ozzie if he thinks he'll return this weekend for the team's homestand with the #Phillies. #ForTheA pic.twitter.com/KmNXTcpzLf
Albies’ return comes at the right time as the Braves find themselves in a close NL East pennant race with the New York Mets.
As of Friday morning, the Mets are one game ahead of the Braves. The question remains though what the Braves will do with rookie Vaughn Grissom.
The Braves called up Grissom in August. Grissom was arguably the fastest rising prospect in the Braves farm system. The rookie quickly impressed with a home run in his MLB debut against the Red Sox on August 10.
Since his debut, Grissom is hitting .304 with 34 hits and 16 RBI in 112 plate appearances.
