ATLANTA — Nothing about the Atlanta Braves 2021 World Series Championship was done half-way, so why not go big with the rings to commemorate their accomplishments?

Saturday night, in front of a raucous crowd at Truist Park, the team continued their “Championship Week” series of events by giving the players from the 2021 squad their Championship rings.

The rings, which were designed by the Braves and constructed by Jostens contain an astonishing variety of symbols and references to the teams successes and history.

The 18.71 carat white gold on the ring was designed to highlight the franchise’s first year of 1871. The 150 diamonds on the “A”, are there to symbolize their 150th season in professional baseball.

The massive ring contains a total of 755 diamonds. That number represents the amount of home runs hit by Braves legend “Hammerin’” Hank Aaron who passed away in early 2021. 44 of the diamonds are Emerald Cut, done to represent Aaron’s jersey number, 44.

On the top, the words “World Champions” are accented and set with 113 diamonds.

TRENDING STORIES:

According to Jostens, the ring will be the first one they designed to have working lights inside of it. They build the ring with a removable top. When the top opens up, you can see a miniature Truist Park lit up with micro-LED lights.

Some other highlights include 11 rubies on the surface to mark the location of all 11 home runs the Braves hit during the 2021 World Series. It also includes a single pearl, nestled in the middle of a World Series trophy. The pearl was used to represent the string of pearls former Braves outfielder Joc Pedersen wore during the playoffs

The ring also includes an engraved “For the A” and has etchings to mark each of their wins through the playoffs.

If you want your own version of the ring, the Braves and Jostens are offering 150 copies of the $25,000 piece of memorabilia. You’ll need to go to the Jostens Fan Collection website to shop.

Fans who attend Saturday’s game got a slightly less ornate version of the ring to commemorate the event.
