ATLANTA — While the season didn’t end with a World Series, the awards and recognition for the 2020 Atlanta Braves continue to roll in.
The Braves were the only MLB team this year to have four different players win a Louisville Slugger Silver Slugger award. The award, which has been given out since 1980, goes to the best hitting position players at each position the National and American Leagues.
This year’s winners for Atlanta: C Travis D’Arnaud, 1B Freddie Freeman, OF Ronald Acuna, Jr. and DH Marcell Ozuna.

Freeman, Acuna and Ozuna all earned their second Silver Slugger win. For D’Arnaud, who finished his first season in Atlanta, it’s his first win.
Freeman has already been named MLB’s Player of the Year by Baseball America and Baseball Digest. Freeman is also a finalist for the 2020 National League MVP award. Braves pitcher Max Fried won his first Gold Glove just last week.
The team finished the shortened 2020 season with 35-25 record and an NL East title. The Braves made it all the way to the National League Championship series where they lost to eventual World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers 4 games to 3.
