COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The Atlanta Braves are heading to the postseason!
In a tense final few innings against the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday, the Braves clinched their first National League East Division title since 2013 with a 5-3 win. The Braves held off a late-game rally by the Phillies that left Braves fans with hearts pounding.
Channel 2's Michael Seiden was at SunTrust Park talking to the team and to fans about the team's big win.
More than 35,000 fans packed the stadium for the game. After the team's win, Seiden watched thousands of excited fans pour out of the park and into The Battery to celebrate.
"Go Braves! Great for the city! Just hope they continue to do this in the playoffs!" a fan told Seiden.

Paula Parris is a livelong Braves fan. She says it's been a long five years waiting for another division title. She said the wait paid off on Saturday.
"It was literally electrifying," Parris said. "I"m so glad I got to see the Braves take it home."
Atlanta joins the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians as the only teams to clinch their divisions so far.
The Braves will most likely face the winner of the NL West, which is a tight race between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies.
The Braves have seven games left before the post season.
Channel 2 Sports Anchor Anthony Aimey said the team hopes to gain home field advantage throughout the National League playoffs. They trail the Chicago Cubs by three-and-a-half games, so there's still a chance the road to the World Series in the National League will have to go through SunTrust Park.
Tickets for the NLDS went on sale earlier this week and can be purchased at braves.com/tickets.
