Getting over a college football rivalry is tough in the SEC, even for a legend like Peyton Manning.

Manning paired up with Tiger Woods against Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson in “The Match: Champions for Charity" event Sunday afternoon. The legendary athletes came together to raise money for COVID-19 relief efforts.

Manning noted that Brady and Mickelson had matching outfits. Woods, of course, wore his traditional Sunday red and black attire.

But the former Vols quarterback couldn’t bring himself to match -- because red and black are UGA colors.

“I’m not wearing black and red. That’s Georgia Bulldog colors. I just can’t do that. If you want me to get sick on the first hole, I’ll do it," Manning joked. "I’m not gonna let Kirby Smart get a picture of me in black and red for their social media accounts.”

The rivalry ties for the NFL legend and UGA coach go way back. Manning and Smart actually faced each other during their playing careers at Tennessee and Georgia.

The Bulldogs weren’t the only local team the players took some digs at. The broadcast brought up the Falcons Super Bowl collapse with Brady.

Woods and Manning held off a comeback from Mickelson and Brady. Over $20 million was raised during the Match.
