Chilly Thursday morning, but sunshine and warmer temps on the way

Cold weather is finally hitting metro Atlanta

ATLANTA — When you wake up and head out the door on Thursday morning, make sure you’ve got a coat.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Ashley Kramlich says we’re seeing a very chilly start to the morning, but temperatures will become more moderate throughout the day.

Temperatures across metro Atlanta and north Georgia are in the upper 30s early on Thursday morning, but will be in the upper 40s by Noon once the sunshine comes out.

By the afternoon, Kramlich says temperatures will be in the 50s.

A wedge will setup over the weekend which will bring more clouds and cool temperatures.

But some relief is on its way. Kramlich forecasts temperatures in the low 60s by Monday.
