Even colder start to Sunday morning as temperatures below average this time of year

ATLANTA — Sunday will be much of the same weather wise as it was on Saturday, however, with even colder temperatures with morning lows down to 30 degrees in downtown Atlanta.

There will be no records broken with this meteorologist Jennifer Lopez says, but these temperatures are about 5-10 degrees below average.

Throughout the day on Sunday, wind chill will not be a concern as the wind will not be much of a factor. This afternoon, expect lots of sunshine with the high to reach only 47 degrees.

As Christmas approaches, warmer temperatures are around the corner for Christmas Eve, with a chance of rain on Christmas Day and the end of the week.

Here’s what you need to know for the upcoming week:

  • Sunday - Sunny and cold with afternoon high of 47 degrees
  • Monday - Sunny and cold with morning low of 29 and an afternoon high of 49 degrees
  • Tuesday - Partly Cloudy and warmer with morning low of 33 and an afternoon high of 58 degrees
