ATLANTA — It’s been a stormy night over parts of north Georgia and the rain isn’t stopping today.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan says some parts of metro Atlanta has seen more than 1.5 inches of rain in spots.
The next round of potential heavy rain and storms moves through later Wednesday.
Severe Weather Team 2 is going over the latest timing, on Channel 2 Action News at Noon.
Triple Team Traffic’s Mike Shields says the rain has already caused numerous crashes already across metro Atlanta. He says to watch out for any standing water in the roadways.

Here’s what else to know for Wednesday:
- Main impacts are locally heavy rain and lightning
- A few stronger wind gusts and small hail are possible too in the morning.
