ATLANTA — Severe storms are on the way to parts of Georgia on Monday.
Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz says there is a Level 1 of 5 severe weather threat for northeast and east Georgia.
A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Habersham County until 6:15 p.m.

Nitz said the main severe weather threat will be isolate thunderstorms Monday evening. The afternoon storm threat will continue throughout the week.

- Scattered afternoon storms on Tuesday with highs in the mid to upper 80s
- Hot on Wednesday with a few storms with highs in the upper 80s
- Rain chances increase Thursday with a brief cool down
