Level 1 out of 5 risk for severe storms Saturday morning

ATLANTA — A cold front moving through metro Atlanta late Friday night and early Saturday morning will bring the risk of an isolated strong or severe storm with it.

Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz says there will be a severe weather outbreak to our west in parts of Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana and Tennessee on Friday.

Nitz says the system will weaken as it enters Georgia, but there is a Level 1 out of 5 risk for strong to severe storms.

The system is expected to start moving out around 9 a.m. on Saturday.
