ATLANTA — Get ready for a rainy -- and possibly stormy -- day tomorrow.
Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz says there is Level 1 of 5 risk for severe weather across North Georgia on Tuesday.
“Severe thunderstorm and tornado threats are something we’re going to be dealing with in parts of North Georgia,” Nitz said.

Heavy rain, damaging wind gusts and the possibility of a brief tornado are a possibility on Tuesday. Nitz said the chances of a tornado are low, but they are not zero.

- Heavy rain moves into North West and West Georgia before the sun rises
- The rain coverage will continue throughout the morning, making for a very wet commute
- The potential for strong to severe storms goes up throughout the morning into the early afternoon
