Line of severe thunderstorms moving through north Georgia

Stay aware of another round of strong to severe storms moving through Tuesday evening.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan says there is a Level 1 out of Level 5 risk across parts of north Georgia, mainly south and east of Atlanta.

Severe Weather Team 2 is tracking the storms LIVE on Channel 2 Action News at 4:00, 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.

Here’s what you need to know for Tuesday.

  • Level 1 of 5 severe weather risk south/east this afternoon – heavy rain, damaging gusts possible
  • Turning much less humid overnight
  • Lows in the 60s later this week, highs in the upper 80s/low 90s
  • Staying mainly dry through the weekend
