Metro Atlanta weather: Widespread rain to move in this evening, could impact commute tomorrow

ATLANTA — For the first time in more than a month, metro Atlanta is going to see widespread rain that could impact your morning commute on Thursday.

At the same time, we need this wet weather,” Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

Nitz said he is not expecting any severe storms, but rain will be moving into North Georgia starting Wednesday evening.
