ATLANTA — A line of severe storms moving across Louisiana and Alabama is expected to impact North Georgia late Wednesday night and into early Thursday morning.
The main impacts include isolated severe storms, strong winds, heavy rain and the possibility of a tornado.

“They’ll be weakening as they start to move into Georgia, but gradually,” said Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brad Nitz.

Here is what you need to know:
- Storms start moving into Georgia between midnight and 2 a.m.
- By about 4 a.m. Thursday, the storms will be over the heart of metro Atlanta
- Storms to move out of the area by about 7 a.m.
- A few showers possible into Thursday afternoon
