ATLANTA — Another round of potentially strong storms will move through north Georgia on Wednesday afternoon and evening.
Several severe thunderstorms popped up south of metro Atlanta.

5:27 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Putnam County until 6:15 p.m.
5:25 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Upson County until 5:45 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Butts, Henry and Spalding counties until 4:30 p.m. That warning has since expired.
Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz is tracking these storms, which could produce damaging wind gusts.
In addition to storms, a few counties will have to deal with dangerous heat with an advisory in place.

- Heat advisory from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for Banks, Barrow, Butts, Clarke, Greene, Henry, Jackson, Jasper, Lamar, Madison, Meriwether, Newton, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Pike, Putnam, Rockdale, Spalding, Troup, Upson and Walton counties
- Heat index up to 109 degrees possible
