Heavy rain has popped up over much of metro Atlanta and is starting to cause flooding in some areas.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brad Nitz says thunderstorms are moving through Atlanta and the surrounding areas.
Channel 2 Action News crews have learned that a portion of Peachtree Rd. near Memorial Drive has flooded. Triple Team Traffic is suggesting drivers avoid the area.
All lanes of Hwy. 78 at Hugh Howell Rd. in DeKalb County are also being affected by flooding.

Later tonight, those storms and showers will wind down and make way for some less humid weather Wednesday morning.
