ATLANTA — It’s going to be a hot and humid Monday, kicking off the week. With summer temperatures heating up, it may even feel like triple digits.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Glenn Burns says temperatures are going to soar into the low and mid 90s, which is above normal.
Temperatures will continue to soar through the beginning of the week.
A heat advisory has been issued starting at noon on Tuesday.

The heat indices could range from 100 to 104 degrees Monday. Burns said to make sure if you’re working outside to take breaks inside with A/C.
Here is what else to know about Monday:
- Most areas will stay dry, with no relief of rain; but isolated shower can’t be ruled out
- Moisture will continue to build.
- Temperatures will still be in the low 90s around 8:00 p.m. around metro Atlanta.
- Tuesday will be an even hotter day.
- By the weekend, humidity will drop.
