TRACKING ZETA: Parts of Georgia under tropical storm watch with severe weather possible later

Tropical Storm Watch A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for much of metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

ATLANTA — A tropical storm watch has been issued for parts of metro Atlanta ahead of Tropical Storm Zeta. The storm is could strengthen back into a hurricane before it makes landfall on Gulf Coast Wednesday.

Light rain is moving through parts of metro Atlanta to start the day, but Wednesday night and Thursday morning will be the time to be weather aware. Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brad Nitz says there is the risk of flooding and possible weak tornadoes.
