A winter weather advisory is now in effect for north Georgia mountains until noon Wednesday.
The following counties are included: Dawson, Fannin, Gilmer, Lumpkin, Pickens, Towns, Union and White.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Eboni Deon says those who live in these areas should be careful traveling this morning as bridges and overpasses could be slick.

Here’s what you need to know:
- Ice accumulation/coating less than 1/10 inch in northeast Georgia; black ice possible mainly above 2,000 feet
- No winter impact in metro Atlanta but rain will stick around for morning commute
- Watch out for any slippery roads, especially bridges and overpasses
